Allison Ball, Director of Membership
Founder, Allison Ball Consulting. I help food producers understand the in's and out's of wholesale, and help specialty food stores with their product assortment, merchandising, managment training, and operations.
My first job in food was:
Childhood lemonade stand/Bi-Rite Market
What brought me to San Francisco:
Love of cities and nature - it's the best of both worlds.
My one-year goal:
To run my online course 2 more times and to develop 3 types of downloadable Ecourses for producers.
My five-year dream:
To own a home and feel comfortable with the amount of $$ I have in savings and my 401K.
My mentor, and the most important lesson I learned from him or her:
Direct mentor would be Sam Mogannam- he taught me how to be a passionate, servient leader. General mentor who I've never met is Danny Meyer, who shapes my attitude towards service & hospitality.
The person I'd most like to collaborate with, and the project:
My husband- we're working on a killer top-secret project.
What I can teach other people in this group:
How to be a great leader, how to have a difficult conversation with a coworker (or friend/family!), how to capture the attention of a retail buyer. working on a killer top-secret project.
My favorite thing to cook:
Margarita, coffee, riesling
How I relax:
Camping, cooking, going to the beach
I am proof that you don't have to know it all to start a business- you just have to know something that other people don't.
