Director of Marketing
My first job in food was:
First ever = selling lemonade on the corner;
Second = summers at Guittard;
Real job = working with Chris Cosentino at Incanto
What brought me to San Francisco:
My love affair with the city that raised me.
My one-year goal:
Get new carpet in our office.
My five-year dream:
Become a goodwill ambassador to the U.N. (A girl can dream, right?).
My mentor, and the most important lesson I learned from him or her:
Everything you'll ever need, is everywhere always. All you have to do is ask for it and see how it is gifted. And in that process, don't let the desire to "do" overwhelm the flow of being.
The person I'd most like to collaborate with, and the project:
Too many wishful collaborations to name in one place.
What I can teach other people in this group:
Design thinking, branding and sustainability (and how to taste chocolate).
My favorite thing to cook:
My hodgepodge bowl of seasonal veggies, brown rice, avocado and anything else that will make my belly, mind and heart happy. On the sweets side? Bread pudding.
Coffee coffee coffee.
How I relax:
Riding waves in our (oftentimes cold!) pacific ocean.
I am proof that family business can succeed for 150+ years.
