Maia Hirschbein, Proof Collective Founder & President
Oleologist at California Olive Ranch, doing foodservice sales and marketing.
My first job in food was:
Putting clothes on hangers at REI
What brought me to San Francisco:
I wanted to be near the ocean and mountains, close enough to my family in San Diego, and surrounded by smart people and art and music. That was 12 years ago and I'm still here!
My one-year goal:
I would love to formalize all of the olive oil body products that I'm making.
My five-year dream:
I hope to have a beautiful balance of family and work.
My mentor, and the most important lesson I learned from him or her:
I am still looking for that mentor...
The person I'd most like to collaborate with, and the project:
I would love collaborate with a chef on designing an olive oil centric menu--- anyone interested?!
What I can teach other people in this group:
I have a lot of experience working in marketing in the foodservice space in particular. I am a strategic thinker and hope to collaborate on projects with women throughout the foodservice industry.
My favorite thing to cook:
Poached eggs and homegrown kale (it's my favorite because I make it everyday)
How I relax:
Laying in the sun at my parents house in Big Sur.
I am proof that hosting a dinner at your house can really turn into a long-term collective of amazing women!
